Return Policy
All returns require a Return Authorization
(RA) number within 30 days of merchandise receipt. Freight must
be pre-paid freight to address supplied with RA number and shipped
in the original packaging. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.
We're sorry, but non-standard items (i.e. custom built, special
voltage, etc.) cannot be returned. Returned items are subject to
a 25% restocking charge. This is to cover our time for inspecting for damage or abuse, cleaning, and
then repacking everything.
Although you may have bought an item with "free shipping" CustomAquarium.com
still paid for the freight to have it shipped to you. On a returned
item you will not be credited for this cost of shipping it to you.
Please be sure to pack the item very carefully. We request
you use the original box and packing material. If the box
looks weak or has tears then you must fix or replace the box. If
the original packing material allows the items to move around
then you must add more packing material. If anything is damaged
we will not be able to accept that item and you will have to make
a claim with the shipping carrier. We cannot file the claim
for you. Also, unless you specify a value of the item the shipping
company may only give you a partial refund. Please consider
shipping insurance.
If a box arrives torn or partially open we must assume there
is damage to the items inside. We will show the box to the shipping
carrier and it may be shipped back to you unopened by them. If
a box looks bad before you ship it, wrap it in brown packing paper
and tape it good.
You may want to take the item to a UPS Store (or similar place)
and pay a little more to have them pack everything.
